Cedar Creek Primitive Campground Matanzas State Forest

We left Little Lake Bryant and headed northeast to the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement and port in the continental United States, St. Augustine.

We made a quick stop at the beach.

Then headed off to the Mantanzas State Forest to find Cedar Creek Primitive Camp for the night.  It was like driving through a tunnel of palm trees to get to our camp!

It was still daylight when we arrived so we went for a walk through the wetlands.  It was like walking on a sponge.
