Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, Grosse Point, MI

We toured the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House  and grounds this afternoon.  It was an interesting tour.  Here are some pictures we took while we were there.

Lake St. Clair

Pond and swimming pool

Rose Garden

Playhouse

Bird Island

We left the estate and headed for Canada.  Before crossing the border we stopped once more in Detroit to see if we could locate the Henry Ford House in the Boston-Edison Historic District.  We were very fortunate and found it this time along with the home of Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records.

This was the house of Henry and Clara Ford.

Here we are crossing back into Canada.

We stayed the night at Port Glasgow Marina courtesy of freecampsites.net.
