Urban Camping: Asheville, NC

As we were walking around Asheville we notice several parking lots that offered public overnight parking for a reasonable fee.  George called the police department to check the city ordinances regarding sleeping in a vehicle while parked in a private lot.  There were no ordinances forbidding this practice.  We decided to stay the night in Asheville in the parking lot of a Bicycle shop for $3.  It was our first urban camping experience and it went well.
